Are Antidepressants the Answer?

antidepressantsAre antidepressants the best way to treat depression?

Pharmaceutical companies pump billions of dollars into advertising antidepressants as the solution for treating antidepressants.  But are they really the best solution?  The pharmaceutical companies want you to think they are because they want to make a shit load of money selling them to you!

However, there’s a lot of research that suggests that they aren’t any more effective at treating depression than placebos.  And, taking antidepressants has consequences because it causes all kinds of side effects, including increased risk of suicide.

There are other ways to treat, and overcome, depression!

Not to long ago, I was one of 12 experts on a panel at a summit called “Cut the Pill” where we all talk about natural solutions to common problems. I was interviewed about treatment strategies for depression and I talk about studies that were done that suggest antidepressants may not be as effective as the pharma companies want you to believe.

If you’re considering antidepressants, or if your currently taking them, you should listen to this interview.  I dispel some of the myths and give you useful information that you can use to make a decision as to whether antidepressants are the best option for you.

There are so many ways that depression can be treated successfully, without taking medications.  And, by going another route, you can avoid all of the horrible side effects that come with antidepressants, including an increased risk of suicide.

The good news is that depression can be successfully treated and you don’t have to live with it anymore!
